A Really Wonderful film

I think 7.8 on IMDB is the right score for this wonderful film. I think it's Curtis greatest film more so then Four Wedding or Notting Hill. It's sad that the trailers tried to have it come off like it's a rom com and about time travel, when it's really about fathers and sons.

I don't think Bill Nighy has been better then in this. Domhnall Gleeson does his best Hugh Grant and succeed's. Rachel McAdams hasn't been as lovely or sweet in a film since or before, you totally by why Gleeson's character goes through all the stuff he does to be with her. Great to see the beautiful Margot Robbie in a small role. I found Lydia Wilson's Kit Kat rather annoying after a while but Curtis always has a character in his scripts that really grates lol.

The romance with McAdams and Gleeson's is probably Curtis's most likable to date. But this film is all about Nighy and Gleeson and it's wonderfully touching and funny. I doubt Curtis will do anything better if he tries.

Agreed. It's everything you said.

Yes. It's a really sweet film.

Not bad for a horror movie, where a villain with time traveling powers slowly takes over a woman's life, unbeknownst to her.

The new Twilight Zone had an episode with a similar plot, S2:E9 Try, Try. The guy is like a stalker learning more about her every day in a time loop and using it to act like he's the perfect man for her. Only in that show she calls him out for being creepy and manipulative.

Yet people love this movie for some reason.

Uh-oh, no... this sounds like a job for the Time Variance Authority. Whoops! Whoopsie!

Seriously though. The OP is right, this film really is wonderful. People do love this movie. Perfectly understandable. You should too. I'd imagine people would do what Tim did, if they had his abilities. He was very genuine though out the film. The man wanted love, went after love, found love and also stuck to it. Makes sense. Super easy, barely an inconvenience!

Horror movie?!? Villain?!? LOL That's just your opinion, man. πŸ˜‰β˜ΊπŸ˜‡
