Enough with the hate on Selena...

I don’t get why people are hating on Selena Gomez, I mean I think she has really come a long way in terms of transitioning from a Disney star. I can’t really think of any other Disney girl who has made a real career for themselves in the acting world after their Disney show was canceled, and hasn't turned bad.

Sure she’s not the best in terms of acting but this is her first action movie and I think she’ll learn a lot, and I hope she does well. At least she’s not all cocky about it like some other celebrities around her age.

It mainly has to do with her being a "Disney star". People can be so extremely close-minded that they're not willing to look past that. And yet they wonder why Disney stars are fading. That's because they're never given a chance, except on rare occasions like Shia LaBeouf.

I like to give them a chance after seeing them on Disney. I think this might be a good movie, and if nothing else it should be interesting to see her in a different role, cause I think she is a good actress

Because she was on Disney and still has a baby face. Selena has already prove she can do mature roles. She's one of the best actress out of Disney and has a bright future. Afraid the only thing that will shut the haters up is when they see how great Selena is.

She was alright in Spring Breakers. And all the criticism about her in this movie should be expected as it's like that with all actors/actresses who were once on some sort of tween property. It's possible that she could very well do a terrible job in this film, but the amount of hate on her is a bit ridiculous.

I think it's the perception that she is a 'DIsney' actor, and the fact that she has changed her image so much in the last few years coupled with the fact she dated Bieber.

I got nothing against her, but i don't think she is a good singer, acting wise i can't make a judgment.

But i agree why hate, she hasn't done anything bad to anyone and she seems like a lovely girl :)
