Both are historically inaccurate. It comes down to which was more entertaining for you. I think the presence of AIDs makes Bohemian Rhapsody just a little too depressing.

I thought Rocketman was better, although I liked the almost concert-like atmosphere of Live Aid in BR.

"BH" was the better drama, "Rocketman was the better musical.

"BH" was IMHO a bit more emotionally satisfying; we see Mercury become who he wants to be, find some sort of personal fulfillment in tragedy. At the end of "Rocketman" we see Elton in rehab, unhappy but working on his issues, and we're told he found fulfillment later in life. That's just not as dramatic as seeing someone say "I decide who I'm going to be and what I'm going to do with the time I have" or whatever the quote was.

Rocketman was the better film though.

I disagree I think Bohemian Rhapsody is far superior, but then again I HATE musicals so..

Rocketman did a rather poor job of showing the work Elton did in order to rise to stardom, and also didn't quite sell me on the depths of his supposed drug/sex addictions (not to mention the bulimia that was randomly brought up at the beginning of the film and then never touched on again). And the random breaking out in song & dance just made me roll my eyes. BR FTW.
