Have fun watching the Netflix/Hulu formula of using unnatural neon lighting, corny script writing, and a gothic/modern setting to attract viewers. We've seen this so many times over, why does anyone think Beetlejuice will have a chance at capturing some of that nostalgia?

Very good points you made and sadly i have to agree, maybe tim burton manages to catch the magic of the original in a few scenes? Very unlikely but this will be trash for the masses.

I hope the setting would be ambiguous like the original and they don't bring the story into high school melodrama. I guess beetlejuice has a wife now, hopefully she's not a ghost and just someone he duped to get out of the afterlife for a little while. There are literally a million cool ideas to use for a beetlejuice sequel but chances they will remake whatever is hot right now.
