So, Catherine O'Hara Is Coming Back, But NOT Jeffrey Jones?

🤔

Bear in mind that O'Hara played Winona Ryder's despised STEP-MOTHER, and Jones played her sweet, loving ACTUAL father...

Once again, movie LOGIC and CREATIVITY is stifled by REALITY... 🤦‍♂️🙄

ENTIRELY AI actors can't come soon enough. If REAL actors can't get their fucking shit together, time for a revolution whereby LIVE-ACTION Hollywood movies are NO LONGER stifled by the stupidity/recklessness of REAL people like Jones, Jonathan Majors, Kevin Spacey etc.

reply

Jones is a convicted sex offender for possessing child pornography and soliciting child pornography, and he hasn't done anything worth a dime since. If the film's success depends on him, it doesn't need to be made. But I think the film will be OK without him. Keaton, Ryder, O'Hara, Ortega, and director Burton can carry this film if it's well written.

reply

O'Hara played the more memorable character, she gave the better performance, and she's free of scandal, so of course if someone had to choose between the two actors they'd choose her!

Because there's no WAY that Charles and Delia Dietz would still be married.

reply

O'Hara's character was pretty great and would actually become funnier as she got older. There is an easy explanation to explain Lydia and Delia becoming close, many stepchildren do bond with their stepparent. And perhaps after her father died they were all each other had.
I don't see why Jones can't come back, I have not heard his side of the story as to what happened with those underage photographs. From what I read it sounded like he was trying to do artsy photos, that could be sexual and I've stated before that his mustache is a cause for alarm. But was it smut or is he a photographer who is also an idiot?

reply

No matter which way you slice it, he's a moron who fucked up his reputation forever. No filmmaker would ever touch him with a ten foot pole.

reply

I did mention he was a moron either way but consider the fact that there were artists sculpting and painting naked cherubs for centuries. It's weird but no-one thought they were into kids. Surprisingly he's had some work since that incident occurred in 2003.

reply

As a matter of fact, I can see a huge distinction in a 16th century artist painting a cherub and Jeffery Jones asking a child to pose nude.

reply

What if that 16th century artist looked like Jefferey Jones?

reply

Are you suggesting we're only demonizing Jeffery Jones based on his appearance? I don't understand this hypothetical implication...
