Pretty funny stuff

Not his best special, but I thought it was solid overall. Started off very strong and faded a bit towards the end, but definitely enough laugh out loud moments to make it worthwhile.

I was a bit surprised to hear about the public outrage regarding some of the jokes (trans material I guess?). Ironically, the outcry only validates many of the points Gervais was making throughout his special. He clearly wasn't targeting trans people with any of the jokes, but rather the whole trans activist ideology, which is full of hypocrisy. I thought he did pretty well explaining his position while maintaining the humor.

edit- On second thought, the backlash doesn't surprise me at all, considering the current social climate. Irrational outrage is very 'in' these days. The rest of my post stands.

No it wasn't. And I usually like his stuff.

Oh okay, you've convinced me. My mistake.

That's right bitch. Know your role.

Whoops, hit a nerve.

You wish

I wish you weren't such a clown, but unfortunately not all wishes come true.

reply

Liar! Lefties can't laugh.

reply

i thought it was OK
sounded like he recycled a lot of his other material which is fine. i LOL'ed at the whole female penis routine

otherwise i wouldn't watch it again

reply

Yeah, not all of the material was completely fresh, but there were enough quality bits in there for me to rate it positively overall. The female penis routine, as you mentioned, was a definite highlight.

Not sure I'd necessarily revisit it either, considering Gervais has several other specials out there superior to this one. Glad I at least checked it out once, though.
