What actors are perfect for roles in Hollywood remake of The Raid?

Rama: I think Scott Adkins will be very good choice for this role, Cung Le also

Mad Dog: Jason Staham will be fantastic choice for this villain role, Cung Le also

Jaka: in Gareth Evans's The Raid, Jaka was a tall man who frequently did wrestling movements, he can strongly throw adult men. Nathan Jones (Tom Yum Goong) can be a very good choice

Tama: Javier Bardem/ Hugo Weaving will be perfect choice

Wahyu: he appeared as a good supporting role as first, but was a truly film's antagonist. So great if filmmakers can hire Willem Dafoe/ Gary Oldman for this role

Hollywood casts people who are actors in the first place.

Rama: Stephen Amell or Alexander Ludwig
Mad Dog: Definitely Jason Statham!
Jaka: Either Jeremy Renner or Luke Evans
Andi: Karl Urban or Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Apparently Michael Bay and Patrick Hughes are trying to remake this. With some input by Gareth Evans. Hughes wanted either Taylor Kitsch or Frank Grillo back in 2014.

Had this remake happened much earlier, Keanu Reeves would have been fine had he reunited with Matrix choreographer Yuen Woo-Ping.

Yeah. Frank Grillo wouldn't be bad as the Joe Taslim character. But he might be too old now.

A few years ago I would have agreed, but in this last Matrix movie, the fight choreography was awful for Reeves. I don't know if he's just too old for the martial arts now or what but it definitely wasn't good.

Of course the fights were horrible, Yuen wasn't brought back to choreograph.

We basically have an american remake. It's called Dredd!!!
