Do you think that was meant as a foreshadowing of how Reeves intended to eventually end his arc? Batman had never died onscreen before (arguments about The Dark Knight Rises not withstanding). Since then The Flash, due to corporate meddling, ended up killing off Keaton's Batman with no return at the end of the movie, which would have rather stolen Reeves' thunder.
shareI'd forgotten that Keaton's Batman died in the Flash, but I'll take your word for it. And didn't Flash go back in time and undo whatever he did, meaning Keaton survived? Either way, I don't think the events of the Flash will in any way affect the effect of whatever Reeves has in mind for his films. If he ends up killing Batman, it will be every bit as powerful as his film makes it.
shareFlash goes back again to try to put things right. We don't see, and it's never stated, what the effects of that are on Keaton's Batman (and on Supergirl). Keaton was supposed to reappear at the end as Bruce Wayne outside the courthouse, but due to the change in direction after James Gunn took the helm of the DCU Keaton was replaced with Clooney. I like to think that he's back in his own timeline, still terrorising the scum of Gotham.
