Question re Luv . spoilers

Luv gets into the LAPD HQ, kills Joshi and Coco and supposedly just walks out
Also wouldn't they be searching for her?

Just my thoughts...

reply

Luv is Wallace's top assistant (assassin), and she arrogantly declares this when she thinks she has killed K ("I'm the best!"). The assumption would have to be, a person (replikant) that skilled covers their tracks very well.

What I don't get is why she kept shedding tears (or a tear) whenever something happened.

You mean when she cries after the birthing scene?

reply

I think her tears, in addition to being a reference to Rachel's tears and Roy Batty's "tears in the rain" in the original, are to show that these advanced replicants now have very human emotions. Maybe she doesn't cry 100% like a normal human would, but she cries when her own emotions are too much to handle, just like a human.

Wallace is likely the world's richest and most important man with, presumably, the most sophisticated electronics in the world. So, Luv selectively opened every door, ignored every access check, had perfect ID, and shut off every camera, etc. Those who asked questions were told not to ask questions. Period. That's it. Even if the LAPD wanted to go after Wallace, it would get shut down immediately, and with force if needed. In short, he and his assistant are above the law, which they can use, change, or ignore as they see fit.
