I think that'll be the gist of the series. It'll be forever drawn out, like Bones or The X-Files. Up until then, the series will mostly be diatribes about how Maggie wants to kill Negan and he deserves it, but she wants to be better and have more of a semblance of civilization. In turn, he'll give diatribes about how he's ready to die, but it's his purpose to spend his life searching for a redemption he knows is impossible. It'll be very long-winded. On occasion we'll see a walker, or an exterior shot of a different city pretending to be New York. But it seems inevitable. Maybe it would relax her a little, doubt she's been with anyone since Glenn. And Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be hard to say no to, woof.
