Rapid Stabbing (spoilers)

The rapid stabbing got tiring after a while along with annoying. EVERYONE did it. ALL the killers did it and so did Sam. Everyone that put on the costume, they did the rapid stabbing thing. I thought it would've been just the killers, but when Sam did it and I think the guy that killed Samara Weaving at the beginning of the movie did it, I was like eff this. And in a way, it tells me that they didn't really know who was going to be under the mask, which is stupid because it's quite obvious when it's Sam and maybe when it's the guy that kills Samara Weaving. Sam should've had her own stabbing technique. When she throws on the costume, two out of three killers are already dead and it's just one left (who Sam is stalking). So it's quite obvious they had the stunt guy do the stabbing and then figured out later who would be under the mask. But Sam definitely you could tell when it's supposed to be her wearing the costume. No need to hide stuff. They pretty much had the stuntman do her stabbing, they paused the camera, then quickly had the actress playing Sam throw on the costume for the unmasking part, and then got the cameras going again. But the rapid stabbing got tiring because pretty much EVERY kill included it. It also lost it's effectiveness when Chad got double teamed with the rapid stabbing and survived (two of the three killers were stabbing him at the same time). I think Gale had the rapid stabbing thing done to her too and she survived as well. If people are able to survive it, what's the point of it? The rapid stabbing was overused and just a lazy way to hide the killer, plus show that they had no clue ahead of time who the killer or killers would be. They probably didn't know who the killer was until it was time to film the unmasking shots. And Sam wearing the costume was quite obvious, so there was no need to give her the rapid stabbing thing as well and try to hide that it was her. To get what I'm talking about, think of Sidney throwing on the Ghostface costume in Scream 1 for a minute or two when she was stalking Billy and messing with him. Sam does something similar with the third killer. Also, with the whole rapid stabbing thing, I didn't really care for the movie. The best way to sum up my thoughts on the rapid stabbing stuff is pretty much: "there goes SpongeBob, ripping his pants...again." But I'd like to know what these reviewers are/were on when they say the movie has a ton of creative and brutal kills/deaths, but all I saw was the rapid stabbing happening in pretty much EVERY kill/death. The only different and brutal death/kill in the movie was Anika's death. She gets stabbed multiple times, falls off the ladder (the ladder scene we see in the marketing), and smashes her head on a dumpster right before she hits the ground. Everyone else dies of rapid stabbing or stuff we've seen before in previous Scream movies. The killers' deaths are similar to ways people died in previous movies. Other than Anika's death, there was nothing new/creative. Whoever reviewed the movie when it comes to critics and claimed creative/brutal deaths/kills must've skipped all the previous Scream movies.

Couldn’t agree more.

The film was overlong and parts of it dragged as well. It’s worth a watch but it’s pretty much now just another franchise that has ran its course.

yeah i finished watching Scream 6 earlier tonight and Sam just literally stabbing the heck out of Dermot's fcharacter was a bit too much and too violent.

yeah i get it that she's the daughter of Billy but she really shouldnt have to go totally crazy like that
