It isn't forced down any throat. Unfortunately, most don't have more than a Burger King palate. So they keep making them b/c they keep making money -- ie, people keep going. Blame the audience for not demanding more. You'll see change when people stop showing up. (Don't hold your breath.)

You mean how people didn't show up for the Ghostbusters reboot but they still went ahead with Terminator: Dark Feminism? Or how people didn't show up for Lightyear or that gay romcom, but they still moved forward with that other Rainbow Reich propaganda in Strange World?

It actually doesn't matter if people don't show up for propaganda-filled movies, Hollywood will Hollywood regardless. People will just either choose to acquiesce or not depending on how bad they think the film is. If they think they can tolerate it to some degree, they will (like Avatar 2), but if it seems too intolerable they'll just pass on it altogether.

Do you think these films are all the same? From the same entities? In the pipeline only after they saw the results of others? There's always an element of execution (as DC superhero movies do much worse than Marvel's). Do you really think the prospect of another female Ghostbusters isn't dependent on how much or how little the first made? No change whether it be a hit or in the red? The creatives care about the issues you're talking about, but those at the very top only care about money.

...getting away from superhero movies? Where you been? Doctor Strange 2, The Batman, Wakanda Forever, and even Thor 4 were all big hits.
