Probably should have cast an American or maybe a British actor... Or if a non-American actor, at least someone who could do an American accent convincingly...
Yes in a way, he's a great actor however, it's strange that he accomplished everything that the part required but he did feel out of place.

shareHonestly, I have come to the conclusion that only Tarantino can get good work out of Waltz. Pretty much everywhere else I have seen him he is either bland and forgettable (Carnage) or downright awful (Big Eyes, Downsizing).
