People are tired of seeing this self-important billionaire everywhere, now being trotted out as a possible Presidential candidate in 2020, which would surely prove that America has truly devolved into a banana republic of a tiny predatory class of the ultra-wealthy lording it over everyone else: billionaire vs. billionaire. Oprah can be credited with serving as a shill for the Iraq War in 2003, sold illusions about Obama in 2008 as "The One", and has been a peddler of movements rooted in American intelligence (Transcendental Meditation and A Course on Miracles). And these are just examples off the top of my head. I pray this woman will retire from public life and go somrplace quiet to count her billions before da revolution come

Don't give true left-wingers a bad name by lumping them in with those who fall into the orbit of the Democratic Party. These days there is no "leftism" per se in the Democratic Party (unlike, for example, in the New Deal days of the 30's) We call them "pseudo-left" because they have become adept at mouthing progressive sentiments publicly while their every action serves only the interest of corporatism and the military-intelligence apparatus. Obama--so ardently supported by Oprah Winfrey before, during, and after his Administration--became a master at this sort of fakery.

There is the progressive left and the neo-liberal free trade center. Both make up the Democratic party, but the bank and corporate funded neo-liberal center holds most of the cards.

President Obama was firmly a centrist neo-liberal, and his weak attempts at any progressive change were evident.

Oprah is utterly revolting. Probably some concoction whipped up in a CIA lab sonewhere for mass mind control. She always seems to be around when the elite are attempting to sell something to the public (e.g., the Obama mythology in 08 and various "humanitarian wars")

She's terrible I agree. But what has she done to her face? don't start with the ''black don't crack'' stuff- the woman has clearly undergone some kind of facelift recently and fillers. I have to say, for a 64 year old it doesn't look too bad.

Oprah is the biggest narcissist in the entire world. She is so self-absorbed and conceited she built her own magazine called, you guessed it, "Oprah," and every darn cover is of herself and only herself.
