shareI think there's still a place for Blu Ray, especially with real movie buffs, because of all the extras that tend to come with it. I think the deleted scenes (and definitely the Director's Commentary) would be especially cool for this particular movie.

shareFor me, I definitely like to check out all those extras--if I'm a fan of the original movie. For example, Mel Gibson's Director's Commentary for Braveheart was great!
I think deleed scenes are often interesting, and many times the fact that they were cut from the movie was simply to reign the runtime in.
The Grey would be a really good Director's Commentary because it would be cool to get Carnahan's insight on the use of the wolves as an allegory.
I wanted to get Carnahan's insight on why he advertised this movie to make it look like Liam Neeson was going toe to toe with this Wolf, only to cut away from it at the end with the credits rolling up the screen?? And if you were patient enough and not totally angry at that, the movie comes on after the credits showing Neeson lying against the wolf motionless with the wolf slowly breathing.. Show the fucking fight Joe!!
