Starts GREAT, then Justin Long appears…

…and it goes into the tank. All the atmosphere that was built in the first 60% of the film deteriorates into B-movie crap once he hits the screen & changes all the momentum for the worst. First 60% of the film were a 9/10. Last 40% were a 3/10.

I started off as fantastic, but I still appreciate the direction it took with Justin Long. It's nice to see films that aren't just following a blueprint. And it's not as though I'm giving it points just for creativity. Justin Long's character was both hilariously and darkly comic. The movie continued to be thrilling despite the lost in momentum.

1st Act

Implausible. Poorly thought-out. Pointless red herrings. An unnecessary male character. Poor decisions by the female one. But…a modicum of intrigue, if things would ever pick up.

2nd Act

(Makes diarrhea sounds with lips.)

2 out of 10 and that’s me being charitable. Watch the lead actress in Season 3 of Broadchurch, instead.
