some thoughts about hugh hefner

After watching Secrets of Playboy I wrote an article about what I thought of its disturbing revelations. If you're interested, check it out here: https://medium.com/p/484dbe758445

The problem is, is that now that he is dead the allegations have come out. I would have more of an inclination to believe them if he were still alive. No one can make money off of a dead person by saying how wonderful that they were. They make money by slander, and by making themselves into victims. Now, I'm not saying Hef was a saint- far from, but what I am saying is that it isn't out of the realm of possibility that these people have made sh*t up just to get attention, and to make money. Also, take into account that I find pornography to be vile, and evil. However, if someone wants to participate in that world, or purchase items from that world then they have the right to do so.

Playboy is not porn though. Far from it really...

I have mixed opinions on Hugh, but in his defense I will say, he was well educated, and was very good to all groups of people. He was in fact a strong supporter of human rights but he also had a slight "pervyness" to him. But judging by what we see on a daily basis coming out of Washington, a lot of people have a pervy side.

It's a part of human nature to be what you might call "very interested in sexuality". It just goes with the territory. Humans are kind of pervy, and always have been.

I don't actually view playboy as porn. I stated that in another thread on here (I should have clarified that in my preceding post). Playboy was more about viewing the female body as a work of art. The pictures that I have seen were never raunchy- that was Hustler territory. Hustler was flat out gross. I'm not saying that beautiful women weren't featured- they were, but some of the stuff that they had them doing was pretty, um- nasty. As far as playboy is (or was) concerned I never really looked at the magazine. Sometimes my friends would buy copies, but I always had a girlfriend so pictures of hot women that I would never meet never interested me.

Hollywood, political positions, news casters, and late night talk show hosts seem to be the height of sexual depravity. The most immoral people lurk there.

I do agree, I never cared for Hustler and Penthouse. Their photos were always too raunchy. I don't think it's sexy to have the model spread her vaginal lips for the camera. I guess some guys like it though.

At least the Playboy images were tastefully done.

And I don't think the pervyness necessarily stops with media types and politicians, I think the average person can be quite depraved as well. People are just kind of strange when it comes to sexuality. Even I can admit that I have a few kinks but nothing too crazy... lol...

Fact is, everyone has one or two...

"If we take anything away from the life of Hugh Hefner and the Secrets of Playboy docuseries, it’s that real richness in life comes from the good things — meaningful relationships, kindness, empathy, self-sacrifice, patriotism, integrity, dare I say faithfulness, loyalty, and even monogamy?"

Real richness in life comes from patriotism? Give me a break! Hugh Hefner may have been a monster, but patriotism is responsible for far more devastation.

^Shut up, Communist.

You have a tiny world view if you think communism and patriotism are opposed.

I didn't see that post on here. It must have been posted by some illogical, overly progressive, communist douche that I blocked. Probably a Biden apologist....

Thanks for writing that, you mentioned ripple effects of sin, got any solutions we can talk about?
