"it seems like there are more of them lately"

I feel like there's something more there, wonder if that'll be mentioned again. Maybe something to do with the Whisperers. Or maybe from something further away, like Fear the Walking Dead. Would be kind of cool if the season finale in the spring would show Morgan, or Alicia, or someone from there show up on this show as a walker

It's the whisperers. They do not want to rebuild civilization, so when people move into their territory and set up camp, they send small herds into the campsite to destroy it like they did to Magna's group. So far only Eugene and Rosita know it's something more than just zombies.

The whisperers have managed to round up the biggest herd any group has had to deal with.
