When he sings "Human Nature", his voice is a perfect match to his 1982 recording. He is the only person in the world who could do that. His voice, a one off instrument that would be gone forever in a few days.
So instead of just thinking that he would die in a few days, I was also sad to think of that instrument being taken away.
He really did have an amazing voice. A mixture of masculine soul and femine softness.
It was a one of a kind voice.
shareThat's not true, Jackson is not the only artist who could recreate his old performances. I went to a James Taylor concert last year, and Taylor sang some of his old songs live... with no changes in his singing. Taylor was seventy and had as absolutely no age related changes to his voice, none of the typical deepening, hoarsening, or changes in resonance.
And I have perfect pitch and enough vocal training to know from changes, and when someone is singing live. Taylor's voice was never that good, but it is ageless.

The thing that is really trying to take Michael Jackson away from us are all the craven scum in the media trying to besmirch his name by regurgitating the abuse allegations. If they succeed, they truly will have killed Jacko's legacy.
As a side point, 'Human Nature' might be my all-time favourite Jackson song (Steve Porcaro is such a great songwriter), along with 'Rock With You'.
I notice overwhelming opposition to these latest allegations by fans and non fans alike. They just don't want to hear it. Regardless of what happened, I wish these two accusers would have stayed quiet. There is Michael Jackson the person and the Michael Jackson the world believed him to be. Why destroy people's image of a man who inspired people?
shareI have sympathy for the accusers. I don't know if they're telling the truth (how can I know?), but although I sincerely hope they're not (and on balance I think Jackson was set-up and that his behaviour to those children was inappropriate and misguided, but not abusive per se - in order words, I think he slept besides them as if they were part of his peer group, but I don't think he sexually molested them), it would be unreasonable to dismiss them.
However, I have zero respect for the opportunistic 'journalists' and filmmakers regurgitating these allegations, and trying to make a name for themselves off of a dead man.
The accusers (Wade Robson and James Safechuck) are dishonest and not deserving of your sympathy. In court, as adults under oath, they said they were not molested, but now they say they were. Either they were lying before or they are lying now, as they could not possibly be telling the truth on both of those occasions. Furthermore, they have been attempting to sue Jackson's estate, so there's definitely a financial motivation for them to make these claims. I personally think they're full of shit.
However, I do agree with you that Jackson made some poor choices in having children sleep in his bed, especially after he was previously accused of sexual abuse in 1993.
If there is overwhelming opposition it's because these people are money grubbing low lives who exploit themselves and their children for 30 pieces of silver.
