I like the concept of it, but all the focus is on the everyman in this tiny town, very little on the football.
Some folks will enjoy - it is a nice look into a long-enduring post-industrial British town trying to recreate itself, but I find it overall boring.
I just finished the second season and overall I enjoyed the show but season 2 really cut down on the amount of football coverage. There were three episodes in a row where football was barely even shown. And it seemed like they were running out of story lines when they again dedicated an episode to an amateur women’s team in town which they had almost identically covered in a prior episode.
