Doesn’t Make Sense……….Spoilers!

Why did Godzilla go and attack Kong, AGAIN?! After last time I thought they had an understanding between each other. They fought together & left as friends or at least allies. Kong covered the big G’s butt when he was on the ropes against MechaGodzilla.

Why was he in super “I’m f*%ing him up” mode when he was on his way to him? Couldn’t he at least have said “Hello, how are you, btw why the f*%k are here?” LOL! Kong tried to point, to tell him something. But Godzilla was in big bad Alpha mode. Don’t understand why. Plenty of other Kaiju’s are on the surface, he ain’t messing with them, why make such a fuss over good ol’ Kong?

For that matter why did WE attack Godzilla at the nuclear power plant? Let him grab what he needs & let him walk, but nooo, needless life was lost because we had to engage. That also didn’t make sense. If there’s a 3rd one they better make him a more hospitable host towards Kong, this is getting old. What’s a poor ape to do?

In the next movie, Monarch will be putting up a steel cage in Hollow Earth and Godzilla and Kong will battle to the death

Two monsters enter... blah blah, oh here's another big bad monster, fight will be restarted with next movie.

The name of the film is "Godzilla versus Kong"...and you want them to be friends and good hosts to each other?

What, do you want them to have a tea party?

The reason that King Kong and Godzilla fight is because it was originally a metaphor for Japanese and USA relations.

Godzilla represented the nuclear power and terror of America, while King Kong represented a small island nation and the Japanese people.

Maybe you had trouble reading what i had posted but they already had their fight & an agreement of sorts was reached. Zilla knows what Kong is all about, especially since he helped him in his fight with MechaG. Again, why the “You must die!” Tude?

Btw smart guy, the name of the movie ISN’T Godzilla vs. Kong. There’s a whole thread about the title here. People are interpreting it as “Godzilla X= AND Kong”

Godzilla x Kong: A script by Jeepster

Kong, in a serene part of the Skull Island, is collecting flowers when he first senses Godzilla's approach. He prepares himself for a confrontation but is taken aback by the respectful distance Godzilla maintains.

Godzilla emerges from the mist, adorned with seaweed and carrying a rare marine gem in his jaws, a gift for Kong. Their eyes meet, and there's an unspoken understanding, a connection that transcends their known world.

They communicate through a series of gentle roars and sign language, introducing themselves. Godzilla presents the gem to Kong, who, in return, offers a bouquet of the island's finest flowers.

Over days, they meet secretly, learning about each other's worlds. Kong shows Godzilla the depths of the jungle, while Godzilla reveals the wonders of the ocean. Their respect for each other grows into affection.

Amidst a gathering of titans and humans, Godzilla and Kong make a public declaration of their friendship and respect for each other. They speak of unity and coexistence, surprising many and soothing the rising tensions.

Godzilla and Kong stand side by side on the ocean's shore, watching the sunset. They vow to remain guardians of their world, promising to meet in secret, keeping their bond alive.

As the moon rises, we see Godzilla returning to the depths and Kong to his jungle, each carrying a token from the other, a reminder of their connection. Their story becomes a legend, a tale of unexpected friendship and unity, inspiring both titans and humans to find harmony in their coexistence.

I think the reason is because Kong was on the surface....Godzilla is the Alpha and King..He wants other Monsters to Bow to him or face being Atomic Breathed Down...Godzilla also gets very intense whenever he senses another Titan and he was in Overcharge mode..

I think Godzilla attacked for a few reasons.

1. Yes, Godzilla and Kong had a understanding, but I think it was that Kong would stay in Hollow Earth and Godzilla on land

2. Godzilla might not have realized it was Kong since Kong looked older and had the metal Mech Arm.

3. Godzilla does a lot of stuff without thinking, he just saw Kong and was like "Another Monster, LETS GO!!" (AKA Classic Godzilla)

4. He was so overcharged at that point.

The OP is either trolling or doesn't understand the premise.

You have two big monsters and they are fighting. It's frickin' awesome.

But he wants them to be good hosts to each other, have tea parties, and say "How do you do, my old friend?" I'm sorry, but perhaps he should check out "Sense and Sensibilty" instead of this film.

OP has some point. Look I grew up watching the Old Japanese Godzilla movies. I know that MF will run and destroy anything lol. Godzilla is like yoo a monster, LETS GO!. But these movies try to make him more an anti hero, also Godzilla is always calm around Mothra where as in the OG movies they have battled (I think Mothra actually beat him twice) So I get the question to a degree. But yes, going to a Godzilla movie, you need to expect just fighting and destruction.

I mean, it's biologically accurate that two apex predators would fight when put in the same environment. The dude must not have paid attention in science class if he has a problem following the plot of why Kong and Godzilla want to fight. The attention to science in this film series is extremely intricate.

And yeah, Mothra has beaten Godzilla. As a matter of fact, the last time Godzilla was his true badass self before becoming soft and a protector of Japan was Mothra vs Godzilla where Mothra saved Japan by beating Godzilla.

"1. Yes, Godzilla and Kong had a understanding, but I think it was that Kong would stay in Hollow Earth and Godzilla on land"
This is why. They literally say it in the movie multiple times. OP needs to pay better attention .
