No, directors have all the leeway in the world to come up with something new. You may be a "filmbuff" but you don't really seem very smart, maybe all "filmbuffs" are that way?

I'm trying to tell you it's the other way around, before "little green men", from the description of the Greys who ride in flying saucers, all the way back in the 1950s.
