Does this series "Kindred" have anything to do with the movie "Kindred"

I was watching Fleishman Is In Trouble, and thought I was going to the last episode, but episode 8 was not out yet, so it jumped to the first episode of this series, and it looked interesting. I was wondering, if they are related should I watch this or the 2020 movie first?

I hate it when you like a series and it gets cancelled, and you never know what was going to happen. I started watching this show Y: The Last Man, that was interesting, and apparently, that was a few years ago, so there is not another season of it coming out. Grrrrrr!

But also this series called "Invasion". Probably others that slip my mind or that I would like to see extended.

I'd like to see more seasons of "Trapped" and "Fortitude", and a Russian series "To The Lake" was pretty good, now probably never going to see that.

Have you by chance seen "squid games" or "Alice in Borderland"?

reply

No. What about them applies. I heard Squid Games is big.

reply

It doesn't apply. But you eluded you enjoyed watching "series". Those are two crazy ones I just finished. I've never heard of any of the shows you mentioned but I am going to look them up. They are both a bit gorey, however, the mental aspect of both shows are insane

Invasion got bad real fast.
"Trapped" and "Fortitude", and a Russian series "To The Lake" were all good.

reply

No, it dosen't. It's based on the sci-fi book "Kindred" by sci-fi author Octavia Butler, which was written in the '70s.
