Saw the preview and from it and from that, I doubt I'll watch this because....SPOILER....

The preview I saw of this limited series makes the portrayal of Pam appear to be of this quirky sort of off-the-wall character with some sort of sick folkiness to her instead of the murderous and vicious person that she is (she is now believed to have murdered at least three people). I hope I am wrong, but the preview made me sick because I read the book about this case and what the police, prosecutor, and judge did to the husband in this case is disgusting.

They railroaded an innocent man when the evidence clearly showed he was innocent from the very start.

Lighten up. Relax your sphincter. It's entertainment.

No, it is not. Read the book. Nothing to find amusing.

She’s not portrayed as simply off-the-wall. She’s portrayed as a crazy, manipulative, sociopath who pretends to be normal and helpful to the victim, the family of the victim, and the police. It’s clear from the start she’s a nut case and she makes your skin crawl. The DA is set on the husband and believes her instead. Hupp’s manipulations are clear. The only thing that ruins it is the narration, which is supposed to sound like an episode of Dateline, which had covered it. All it does is make Dateline look ridiculous.

I’ve only seen the first episode, but why are they portraying both Pam & Betsy as so cartoonish?
