Would have worked better as a horror movie.
Right when she realized he woke her up, it could have changed tone and switched gears and turned very dark. So many ways it could have gone.
shareOh indeed. That's why I spend any time at all pondering such a so-so film. There were so many interesting ideas or ways it might have gone. Based on what you wrote, maybe even a horror comedy: Jim offs Aurora (which he probably should have done as soon as he realized she had a round-trip ticket), & wakes somebody new. Only she has problems & so on.
Even better might be to start with a woman waking first, waking & jettisoning one potential companion after another. Perhaps as a climax they wind up stalking one another on the ship a la The War of the Roses.
