Really enjoyed this - funny and heartwarming

It was a real mood-lifter. Both sisters were great in their roles, supporting characters were also great - especially Will Ferrell. Just all around good time, great for a cozy couch watch.

It was way better than I expected it to be.

Thanks for the heads up! Anytime I see the words heartwarming, heartfelt, or coming of age to describe a movie, I know to skip it.

THE RELATIONSIP OF THE SISTERS IS A KEY PLOT ELEMENT...BUT HEARTWARMING IS NOT REALLY THE RIGHT DESCRIPTION FOR THE FILM...FUNNY AS FUCK IS WHAT I AM GOING WITH.

reply

Well if it is like Billy Madison or Tommy Boy, then I'd like it a lot. If it is like The 40 Year Old Virgin, or Bridesmaids or movies like that, then I will just be mildly amused by it in a few parts.

HONESTLY...OF THE FILMS YOU LISTED...QUIZ LADY HAS THE MOST IN COMMON WITH TOMMY BOY.

reply

Maybe I'll check it out then. I usually don't mind Awkwafina.

TWO PEOPLE WITH ALOT IN COMMON WHO DON'T GET ALONG ON A SHENANIGAN FILLED ROADTRIP TO ATTAIN MONIES TO SAVE SOMETHING.

IT IS ACTUALLY VERY TOMMY BOY NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT...AWKWAFINA IS KILLING IT IN THIS ROLE...IN MY OPINION.

Wow, your sense of humor is wretched! Fking Adam Sandler over 40YOV! (Bridesmaids was also hilarious.) Sandler never has been funny, EVER! What's he doing now--stand-up and producing schlock so his daughters can be in a movie?! No one in Hollywood wants him anymore!

reply

I haven't liked much from him past 2001, but his 90s stuff made me laugh. But Farley was much funnier.

I believe your sense of humor to be bland and dull. 40 year old virgin, the Hangover, Bridesmaids, Something About Mary - all movies that may have had a scene or two that mildly amused me, but not one where I burst into laughter. Popular comedies are rarely funny to me.

Sure thing, don't hurt yourself.
