I watched the movie. Yes, Justin Timberlake is the worst actor in the world

Bless his heart for trying. But he can’t act shit.

Whole movie he was having one face expression. It never changed. "Stoic sad depressed middle aged alcoholic". Thats what his face looked like. Despite movie obviously having this character to be Young Sleazy Lying Good Face Looking realtor.

If actual actor would be hired you can almost see how completely different character would be and act.

Compare it to what Michael Pitt was playing. Can you even imagine Justin to ever playing someone like that? No. His choices are always safe.

There are musicians that go to acting and some look decent. Just tries acting for 20 years and still hasn't learned how to act. Acting is not for everyone.

Agreed. I'd seen him on SNL and thought he did an okay job. But comedy sketches are one thing and a dramatic role in a feature length movie another thing altogether. Good grief, he was bad!

reply

Yes. Comedy sketch is one thing. But drama is another.

Justin can’t do that no matter how much he tries. Because not everyone can act.

Like I see that this character was suppose to appear like he is innocent and viewers should have sympathize with him. And then BAM - movie says he is guilty after all. That was the twist. But you hates Timberlake’s character the moment he appeared. He was just not sympathetic. And it was because Justin tried to "act" him like he is "sad pretty boy". And failed.

I'm not sure I think he's the worst actor in the world, but they could have casted someone better. He didn't do a great job.

You mention Michael Pitt. IMO, he is a phenomenal actor and his performance was fantastic.

Michael Pitt always has this "creepy disgusting weirdo dude" vibe about him. But sometime he actually plays good characters. Like here. I liked him here.

I wish he would chose better roles and do more "flawed good guys" roles. Instead of creepy assholes.

Same with Paul Dano. I always hated him in everything I saw him in. Because he always plays those crepy-losers-maniacs.
But then he did Escape at Dannemora where he actually played a normal character and I liked him. He was good. He can when he wants to.

I loved Pitt in Delirious where he played a very sweet role and in Boardwalk Empire where he was a young, vulnerable, guy who could go either way (good or bad). And, of course, in Funny Games where he was absolutely evil! I know he's played in many more movies but these come to mind first.

If find no matter what role Pitt's playing, he's excellent, very believable.

I didn't recognize the name Paul Dano so I looked him up and recognized him immediately from Little Miss Sunshine. I thought he did a great job as her brother! That's the only thing I've seen him in.

"Escape at Dannemora" is basically one project I was not hating him in. He shaved his head and was not playing weirdo or maniac

Looper sounds really good, as does Escape at Dannemora. I'll put them both on my list to watch.
