No. It just makes it more ridiculous and makes no sense.

There’s never been a diverse remake that’s actually succeeded. Why keep doing it?

reboot, recycle - looks like they are done even making crappy sequels - lol
First change everyone to black, in a few years, start rebooting again with everyone as trans, etc

In a few years this lunacy will have passed like all tired trends. There’s already push back against it and building.

There’s no market for it and studios like Disney are suffering for it — but not as much as movie audiences.
