sharewhen the majority of hollywood movies are animated, comic book or remake, reboot or rehash. the average movie goer doesnt have much choice.
the last smart movie I watched was Interstellar. it had no agenda, no wokeness, no PC'ness. was just a good sci-fi movie.
the problem with todays movies is that they have an agenda, political agenda, or some sort of woke message, also they all need to have one color of every human and multiple genders, female, trans, lgbtq+. if you dont represent these genders then you are cancelled. movies also have to not offend China in anyway or bow down to them (John Cena)
the days of truly great movies is over I think. as past movies, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's were just good movies with no agenda.
Movies have always had one agenda or another, I just think story used to come before message (which meant you could ignore the message as long as the story was good), now the message seems to be more important than the story. That's a recipe for bad movies.
