Was there something special about that one motorcycle?

In the beginning of the movie when Dementus’ men are trying to escape one of them drops his bike and dies. The two remaining guys take a gas tank (I think it was a spare) and I think they were trying to retrieve his bike but were chased off by Furiosa’s mother. She then takes the front wheel off the bike she was already on and puts it on this other bike and continues the pursuit on it. I got the impression that there was something special about this bike so I was wondering if it is referenced in any of the other movies.

Don't know. I watched it again today and there's a two second shot when she pulls up on her bike and her wheel is wobbling and making a funny noise, so I think something was wrong with her bike. But apparently not the wheel?

When she comes up on the other bike, the one she's riding has a very "rickety" and metal grindy sound to it, so I assume she switched the other due to it being in better condition; just needed a new front wheel which she swapped out from the one she was on.

I'm guessing anyway. =P

The actual answer is they wanted to show case the Heavy Metal Magazine-ness of it all. Skull bike cooler than a normie bike. But also hinting that she is Death of the four horsemen. Or which ever. There's a lot of symbology in the movie I haven't quite sorted out yet. It's very blatant but i'm not hella smart.
