Ron isn't good enough for Hermione

Yeah, I always found HG attractive while Ron is such a putz. I have nothing against Rupert Grint but his character was one of the worst things in the Potter movies. I mean, everything works as intended, but he's painful for me to watch cowering and crying all the time. The rest of his family was much cooler.

It is very hard to tell how attractive the adults will be from when they were children. I think in the books Hermione was not supposed to be that pretty, should have been a bookish geek girl. So I think most people do think that was a mismatch, Hermione was very pretty and Ron not so much. Not to mention Hermione was an over achiever, Ron was average at best. Hermione was like a 9 and Ron was more like a 6. But books were already written so there is nothing can be done about it.

Read the original BOOK Ron and you'll like him more. The movies (specifically, Kloves) RUINED him.

JK Rowling has expressed regrets over not pairing Hermione with Harry. The only nice thing about the Hermione-Ron, Harry-Ginny ending was that they all became one happy family.
