I'm curious... it's really not often that in an American film an Asian man is sexualized. It's even LESS often that you'll see an interracial relationship involving an Asian man... RARER STILL is a Black lady and an Asian man. Unlike that cock-tease Romeo Must Die where they never even kissed D:<

So I'm wondering if Rain and Naomie are to be pared off in this one... Seems likely. I'm all for bold casting choices and Naomie Harris is pretty cool. So I'm all for this movie being awesome!

No interracial romance will appear in the film. This was confirmed by a few Comic-Con interviews listed in this site.

UGH I hate that! I was so looking forward to Rain getting some action!! As a white American female in a relationship with a Korean male, I'm all for any form of media that depicts an Asian male with a non-Asian female, but alas, they are few and far between :(

I looked in their post history and there's nothing that indicates that they are an Asian man pretending to be a white woman.

You on the other hand have an obsession with bashing Asian men on all your posts about them.

You claim you're Chinese in one post and that you're black in another post.

I'm hoping their together in this movie. Naomie and Rain look like a good couple, they don't look odd together. I think it's cool they have an Asian guy with a beautiful black female. You never see this in the movies.

But then again, she might just be paired with Rain. Like how she was with Cillian Murphy in the movie "28 Weeks Later." Even still, at least they took a step forward.

Hmmmm... What about the Asian man's indecent Asian girl fetishes?. There is a huge amount of manga, anime, films and other stuff featuring young girls in school uniforms aimed at Japanese men. I'm a big fan of a lot of Japanese culture and have always known of this slightly disturbing facination they have with school girls, but when I went to Japan I was still surprised to see things such as figurines of young girls sitting on the toilet for sale in the shops.

There are fetishes for just about everything, so no particular one should really surprise (some people get sexually aroused by women taking a dump for god's sake). Having said that, a Malaysian friend of mine recently told me that he believes that a lot of men are especially attracted to eastern Asian women because they generally look far younger than their age, so girls over the age of consent can look like young teens. He suggested that said men weren't necessarily conscious of this though.

Yes, sex is a very non-taboo subject there, whereas elsewhere it's taboo to talk about. Just look at how much controversy there still is about sex education in U.S. schools. At least in Japan, they even have holidays devoted to sex.

I'm calling bull. Japan had to create a special "female only" subway train because girls (including young students) were being molested on the trains by men. It was rampant enough that they now have women-only train cars.

Amen! Major, major lost opportunity because Rain is gorgeous and unquestionably sexy as hell. Why not give the audience what we so obviously want to see? He could be on par with any sexy male action star. I don't understand how studios can still ignore this with the ticket buyer being far more culturally aware and sensitive.

Um, I thought Keanu was Samoan and White? They don't really count Hawaiian as Asian... it's Pacific Islander. Unless he's mixed with three things, and I just don't know. But last time I checked, Keanu is a Hawaiian name.

My husband who is Korean and more sexy than Bi(Rain) said that Bi is not really a handsome Korean guy, and he's just like so much because he is famous. WAHA.
