I just finished the first season, and I thought they might have pushed the story too far in a weird direction. I'm not talking about the sci-fi storyline, but the bizarre antics of some characters, music choices, attempted symbolism, and so forth. Anyone else think this?

Yes - I didn’t know what the hell the story is with the Buffalo herd, the one Buffalo with Indian arrows in it, some of the dialogue (eg most of the lines for the girl named Autumn were just nonsense), and the behavior of people like the Tillerson patriarch
Got the sense they were going for a Twin peaks vibe.
