shareBecause writers wanted to kill him off. Because shows are obsessed with killing all characters so people would feel sad or something. And it was almost comical. Its like they forgot he was still there and show was getting to the end. So they made up idiotic reason for him to sacrifice himself to save others.
I think it was some stupid thing that he cant "give pressure" to that airlock from inside, it was glitching. So he had to go inside that previous room and open it from there.
Hollywood does this clishe thing all the time. I was offended that koreans did that too. I thought they were better then that. Not to mention they killed off for no reason that previous guy too, the forth one.
Four of them + girl were getting out. And then of course one guy was killed off in standoff with bad guy. They just couldnt let them all live. Everyone always must die.
Agreed, it's weak sauce.
I would have felt a lot better had at least the Captain came out with them, knowing he would be reunited with his poor daughter.
Now, for all we know, his daughter's water privileges and medical care will be revoked by the heartless government because he's no longer in the picture and she'll die.
Also he could be a major presence in protecting Luna!
I don't demand a feel good ending, but this bullshit was just pointless and f*cking annoying.
It's not nice to finish a movie/series and be left with a bad taste in your mouth because of contrived nonsense like this.
