I would have watched it in 2000. The project originated 50 years ago. Lefty critics inflate the metascore to 73.

No. It didnt.

The project was first planned and mooted 30 years ago, ans the doc is about the genesis of the project up to the present day.

But the people who stayed inside the biodome only did so for 2 years.

Launched in 1984, dissolved in 1994. 24 years to release the doc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biosphere_2

Biosphere 2 was only used twice for its original intended purposes as a closed-system experiment: once from 1991 to 1993, and the second time from March to September 1994.

Wasn't that experiment a failure? I heard some controversies regarding the management of the environment inside, such as different teams of scientists disagreeing and infighting while causing the air in the environment to not do so well.
