Director Todd Phillips Teases Sequel With New Lady Gaga, Joaquin Phoenix Photos

Todd Phillips is giving DC fans a Christmas present, dropping brand new photos of Joker: Folie à Deux featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

“Wishing everyone a happy holiday and a beautiful new year,” Phillips shared on Instagram alongside the two pictures.

Phoenix is reprising his role of the Joker that he gave life to in the 2018 film. Lady Gaga is joining the sequel as Harley Quinn. In the first photo, Phoenix’s Joker is jailed, while the second photo sees Gaga’s Harley Quinn gazing at the Joker, who has his characteristic makeup on.

Comic book movies are not what it used to be.

Selling it under DC brand worked before, at a time any comic book movie is guaranteed box office success.

Now, not so much.

Would be more hopeful if it wasn't Gaga in the role.
