The boxing matches in this movie are something else.. Truthfully, the fights in all of the Creed movies are much better than they ever were in Rocky.. It is just nice to see the boxers actually box using head movement and foot work.. The only problem is that the heavyweights need to be fighting actual heavyweights,,
shareEh...I found them to be a little too, "Rock em, Sock em" with a little too much motion blur. I do agree with your last point. Damien outclassed the Mexican fighter by far.
shareOf course in real life boxing consists mostly of the two fighters hugging each other, with very few punches that actually connect - but that wouldn't work in a movie.

The fighting is suppose to be better I posted this in another thread Sly himself said from Rocky Balboa on wards they was suppose to be realistic but this movie is pure fantasy not a simple thing is close to being real.
You really don't know much about boxing do you if you think this is good and realistic.
The fight scenes here are as good as you are going to get for a movie.. If you are looking for a bunch of clinching and such then you probably shouldn't be watching a movie..

Damian first fight he wins the title he performers 4-5 illegal moves that is 100% BS.
Next you have fighters who appear to have fitness out of the air yet all they keep doing is throwing heavy punches.
Rocky Balboa, The Fighter & Southpaw these three are far better better in every way.
I didn't really like the final match with all the CGI nonsense, but I liked the others. This is the ninth entry in the Rocky world so it is commendable that they tried something different. It just didn't work for me.
