Takes too long to become generally available

What's the holdup?

reply

Depends how much it makes opening weekend. Usually 30 days in the theater only. So you probably have another couple weeks.

reply

10 more days and it's generally available.

reply

I was close.

reply

It's taking too long! Those motherfuckers should put it on a stream immediately so the third party distributors can deal.

reply

Go see it in a theater, where films were meant to be seen.

reply

Cinemas are death traps.

reply

How are cinemas death traps??

reply

Don't bother, you'll get a load of horseshit like you've never seen before..

Is he worried about a fire? Is this covid-related fear? I legit don't understand his hesitation to go see a movie. I go all the time, and I hardly ever die.

reply

Why bother? There is a slightly higher chance of contracting or spreading disease in a cinema (lots of stationary people in close proximity) so why not watch your daily grind in a home setting? When the movie is bad you could fallback to sex (self-service for you basement types). Try that in a theater!

Your reply made me laugh so hard. I go all the time too and also hardly ever die.

However, I haven’t been to one since March 2020 and won’t go back until we are out of this mess.

Before Covid, I went 3-4 times a month at least. I can’t wait to go back but I can’t deny that I have been watching as much as possible at home in the meantime.
