there were some dreadful moments...

The Quantum Realm was of course, the focus, and I thought it was marvelous. Everything about it, all the creatures and the life that existed, how it looked and worked. Stunning.

I thought Paul Rudd was good in this.
Kathryn Newton took way too much screen time. She was quite annoying at times.
Michelle Pfeiffer did really well. Michael and Evangeline were ok.

Cassie's hologram message across the Quantum realm was very very cringe and unnecessary.
MODOK was dumb all around.

Kang is supposed to be this multi-verse conquering being and he is in a fist fight with Scott ? Laughable really. Otherwise, Jonathan Majors did well.

However, I enjoyed most of the film, despite those awful moments.

Enjoyed it also but it did indeed feel anti-climatic but it should have NOT felt necessary to be climatic.

Every MCU movie needs to always be about characters and story-telling. In this one the characters didn't come through.

It's adequate enough eye-candy but as far as MCU movies go, this is near the bottom for me. Agreed, the QR looks terrific. I appreciate Majors for playing a serious Marvel villain but surprised he's taken out so rapidly. Unless he comes back (hell, Corey Stoll came back and yes MODK is awful in this).

I thought the quantum realm while it looked nice was disappointing because it wasn't that different than any other science fiction or space fantasy movie realm. Originally it was called the mircoverse and was the home of the Mirconauts. Yes that stupid toy line had a really good marvel comics series and if they had planned it right could have been better used in a much better movie. Ant-Man never needed to go to the quantum realm or face big baddies like Kang, should have stuck to less complicated villains and definitely should have kept Luis. His recaps were always hilarious.
