Good Premise

If you read the comics, Jane only becomes Thor temporarily but had to stop using the form because Thor's powers erased all the toxins in her body including the chemotherapy so her stage 4 cancer came back and had to stop using it due to health reasons. She later becomes a Valkyrie though so at least we'll get o'l Thor back as well.

Wonder if they'll follow in the comics footsteps or they'll just make Jane the future Thor going forward.

Depends on how often Portman woulds to reprise her role as Jane Foster I guess. Or however large the check is.

Eh, that'd be up to Disney, not her per se.

'In Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), Foster will take up Thor's mantle while undergoing treatment for cancer.'

So they are following the comics based on that description. It just makes sense to make her a Valkyrie imo. At last she won't be some useless bimbo lauding around hoping to be useful with gods and super humans around her.

POWERED UP PORTMAN IS QUITE INTRIGUING...I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MCU'S TAKE ON THIS STORYLINE.

Whatever they do it will be to dethrone Hemsworth from the Thor role. The current trend is to replace all straight white male heroes with females or POCkers.

I wouldn't doubt it if Portman ends up giving up the powers and dies off-screen to the cancer. Don't be surprised if Thor gives up being Thor as well and spends his time as a human with Jane for her final months dying of cancer, and then the lesbian Valkyrie ends up becoming Thor and wielding Stormbringer as the king of Asgard (we already know that she becomes the lesbian "king" of Asgard, because that much has already been spoiled by Tessa Thompson on Twitter).

I think they will have Lady Syf turn into a lesbian and become Valkyrie's queen in the end, so the Rainbow Reich wins, feminists win with Jane/Valkyrie becoming Thor, and fans will lose out, just like they have with James Bond, He-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, and just about every other white hero in recent times.
