Why people hate this when haven't even seen it?

For me it looks OK film and I have seen lot of movies. It has a 70 mil. budget and usually half of the budget goes for marketing the film so here we come to 35 mil. insted of 70 mil. And for me it looks pretty neat for that budget.

This movie was quite good in a lot of respects to expense spent on scenery. It played out the mythical side well and the battle scenes were epic for such a small budget.
I liken this movie to some of the all time great Italian movie's of the 1960's etc.

Having seen lots of movies somehow makes you an expert on what people will like or not? I don't get your point.

See? Despite having seen a lot of movies, you don't know how production works for example. Production budget are for production. Marketing budgets come on top of that and are usually undisclosed. The movie was made for 75 millions, which means that a lot of incompetent people were paid a lot of money. But then again, if 50% of the people involved were even half as bad as the casting department who hired those "actors", I'm guessing that explains a lot.

And for me it looks pretty neat for that budget.

Budget has no bearing on whether a movie should be good or not. A great movie could be just two actors in a room with no special effects or props or flashy crap. Acting, dialog and writing are the basis of a good movie. Then direction. The rest is just sprinkles. Obviously sprinkles can't make a turd look like a cupcake.

Because Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic hate this. This is how the movie review scene goes. No one really has their own opinion because they are afraid to go against Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.

I just finished watching it and it was utter tripe! This was bad on so many levels!

Maybe because it is such a bad movie and trailers are enough to get how bad it is? I have seen it (still don't know why) and it's really one of the worse movies ever.

I've seen it and I thought it sucks. Plus many more have seen it now HBO plays it every four hours

I have seen it.
It's a decent enough action flick.
But.
One would think that a movie titled "The Legend of Hercules" would have something to do with the legend of Hercules.
The Disney movie had more to do with the legend of Hercules then this movie.
