sounds like this could be Gemini Man (which always seemed an unlikely fit for Ang Lee / Bruckheimer producing who hasn't had a hit movie in a while):

There is an upcoming major studio release that apparently has turned into a total Suicide Squad type fiasco right now in the editing room with two dueling cuts of the film, a very strong willed exec, and a director who is now entirely unsure what he wants. Not a good sign

That's an interesting tweet but it could literally be any upcoming movie that's currently in post-production. There's no hint that it's any specific film.

Lee doesn't strike me as the kind of director who would end up "entirely unsure what he wants," but who knows.

ur quite right it could be literally anything coming soon - quite a few have suggested Terminator but I think that's unlikely as Tim Miller is a huge Terminator fan and used to work for and most likely idolises Cameron (and whod butt heads with him anyway)

but it could be Joker, Cats, Ad Astra, TopGun2, Ep9, Zilla v Kong - who knows...

Frankly, to me, the trailers for Terminator already make the movie look like a mess, or at least an uninteresting mistake, like every Terminator film since T2. The Girl Power vibe combined with the cargo ship-load of CGI the film seems to employ have largely killed my hopes that the movie will be the faithful follow-up to T2 that I've been hoping for. I can only cross my fingers that I'll be proven wrong on that one.

Other than that, I'll just say please, oh please, in the name of God, don't let the film in question be Top Gun.

Not a good trailer. It cost 25 now to go see a movie with ticket,popcorn,and drink. I'll rent this.
