They should know better to not make a follow-up with a Razzie award winner.

I can see them in desperation to use the Flashpoint to reset the DCEU with the excuse that Flash prevented it from ever happening.
But other than that, who knows at this point.
The first made money, LOTS of money. They won't cancel the 2nd.

shareThe first one made good box office, its profits will be a question because it basically had to make huge box office after reshoots and marketing. I found an article that gives a certain idea of profit but it basically admits the full marketing and cost of reshoots arnt really taken into account. I think at the end of its theatrical run its possible it made more than say BvS but not the huge amount its box office would leave you the impression of. And is there any reason a second film would out perform the first though? It was a bad movie from all accounts why would they risk another very expensive film for returns that may be less than what JL is now doing?
So far the only sequel DC can bank on is WW2.
They may go ahead with the film, after all they ignored all the red flags from MOS and BvS when they went straight into production of JL.
