I didn't like the ending.

I don't think Abel should of been killed at the end. Now his kids are left without a father and they'll probably grow up thinking that their father was a hero who was unjustly murdered by police. I don't know why Chris had to egg Abel on about his deceased wife either? Maybe he knew that he would of had favor at his murder trial and gotten a little slap on the wrist. Chris should of just kept quiet and let the police arrest Abel.

reply

I think he was concerned about the future. Abel was clearly unstable and had gotten murderous by the end. He has used his position as a cop to get the police to previously side with him and not take any claims against him seriously. If he was arrested he might have gotten charged reduced thanks to being a cop or the department not wanting a scandal or the moment he got out on bail gotten a gun and come after Chris. If Chris feared this he egged Abel on to make sure it was over.

They never HAD a father. They had a dictator.

It's called "Tough Love". Abel was very strict and yes sometimes harsh but he was a good Dad who wanted his kids to abide by the law and grow up with good values. Who cares if they didn't like it, he wasn't trying to be their friend he was trying to be a father who cared and instilled in them respect. Most parents are so loose with that their kids their kids end up turning into everything they didn't want them to become. With set rules the kids are more likely to grow up being very disciplined and it will more likely benefit them in the end. The kids might not of understand why Abel was the way he was but they would of been thankful he was like that when they grew up. There needs to be more dictator parents now a days because the kids are dictating their parents and becoming horrible monsters! Call Abel old fashioned but he was doing a damn good job raising his kids!

reply

It's called bull shlt, and if you think having a psychopathic murderer for a father is being a good parent, do your kids a favor and never have any, get sterilized now.

reply

Agreed. I was rooting for abel

I am Tigro, bow down to my greatness.

He slapped his daughter. It didnt look like the first time.
The girl seemed like she wanted to go with her aunt. Even told her brother she might not want to come back.

reply

Yeah, he wasn't the greatest husband in the world. It was really his responsibility for his wife getting killed, and that probably made him even stricter. Even though he disapproved of Chris and Lisa's interracial relationship, I think his primary motivation for forcing them out was because, Chris especially, and Lisa to an extent were acting tough. As for his kids, he clearly disapproved of his daughter doing a lot of tough things, and he seemed to be on better terms with his son.

reply

because chris is one of those cuckold democrats who only has slight regard for the black man.

reply

I think they'd be better off living with their aunt anyway.

reply

Abel was a scumbag who may have drove his wife into the arms of a white man.
The kids needed a better role model.

Spoiler alert for them spoil sports out there! Y'all like spoiled milk, stop crying over it!

reply

you're right about the ending being nonsense, but the problem was with the action sequences not being convincing, also the white guy not dropping his gun didn't make any sense, he had the phone with his wife and could prove every thing, they should have got rid of the phone in order to justify the whitey's behavior, but of course he though i'm white the police are not going to shoot me. and nothing he said about the black guy's wife justify the black's reaction. the final scene was a whole mess, and destroyed a good movie.

That was the only part you didn't like????

I feel like Lakeview and Knock, Knock could be in the same universe. If Abel lived, it would be great to see a movie where the girls go after him.
