Superman's suit and cape doesn't burn during re-entry of the Earth's atmosphere or during explosive battle scenes?

In this great and action packed movie, we see Superman fly into space and re-enter the Earth's atmosphere without burning his suit. No noticeable burn damage to Superman's suit or Zod's suit during their fight scenes. There was a scene where Zod's cape caught on fire during their first battle in Smallville. But Superman's cape never caught on fire once in the whole movie. What was the difference between Zod's cape and Superman's cape? Their suits can clearly withstand fiery explosions and bullets. Was it because their Kryptonian suits were heat resistant and fire/bullet proof? But what about the capes? I understand that Superman is an indestructible man of steel....does that mean his suit and cape are also indestructible?

In the comics, his costume was made from his baby blankets, which, being Kryptonian, were also indestructible. (not sure how he sewed them up though)

In the movie, his cosutme is a Kryptonian battle suit, which is incredibly damage resistant, but not entirely indestructible. So Zod's suit must have been exposed to higher heat or more explosive power.

What ridiculous question is this? It was clearly written the way depicted. So that's what happened in the movie reality!

Based on the tv series 'L&C TNAoS', superman's body is surrounded by a 1/10th mm force-field that he is able to extend to other objects and people, which probably includes his cape as I never once saw it damaged in the live tv series. This force field allows him to 'push/pull' and carry 'objects/people' without any destructive damage caused by opposing forces like velocity, heat, inertia, friction, etc.
