A guilty pleasure for me. 6 out of 10.

I have to admit, as flawed, silly, and also certainly derivative as this movie was, borrowing more than a bit from the likes of "The Matrix" (1999), "Fight Club" (1999), "Lucky Number Slevin" (2006), "Equilibrium" (2002), "American Psycho" (2000), "Leon" (aka "The Professional") (1994) and several others, with a little bit of Timur Bekmambetow's own "Night Watch" and "Day Watch" (2004 & 2006) around it, I personally rather liked it and I actually consider it Timur Bekmambetow's best work so far and I don't think he'll ever top this.

At times hilarious, often action packed as hell, entertainingly silly (yeah, I know, curving bullets and all, healing injuries in some magic water, and its not all explained either), derivative but generally well shot and with some solid acting (at 70 for instance, Morgan Freeman still impresses), some dark humour et all, and as far as brainless popcorn munching entertainment flicks from Hollywood go, not too bad a way to spend just under two hours.

6/10.

It's not bad.

Every now and then I sit down to watch this film, Salt and Mr & Mrs Smith as a box set of silliness - all good fun.
