Jules is the weakest character in the team

While its tough to find another pair like Shawn and Gus. The others chipped in well..Lassie as the constant pain in the assie...His father with a tough love approach...

I wouldnt include Chief Vick as she was hardly around, but Maggie as Jules was the weakest character,IMO...

She was neither funny nor did she have chemistry with Shawn and when they finally united,it wasnt really that breathtaking and even after they broke up,the way of patching up was so abysmal....

Its even stranger considering that they were dating in real life for most of the show

She might be the weakest character on the show but in my opinion it doesn't matter because Maggie Lawson who plays Jules is very attractive (eye candy)

I came here to ask if anyone besides me cannot stand Jules. Maybe you don't feel quite as strongly as me but she's dull and adds nothing to anything. When viewing, I think "why exactly is he in love with her?". She's dour and humorless and brings nothing to the interactions. I loved Shawn with Abigail. I wanted to see him after/with someone as cool and funny as him. You're right, when they got together it was like she was annoyed all the time and there was no intimacy. Zero chemistry with Shawn who is such a vibrant character.

As someone who has watched Kim Bauer from 24 and Octavia from 100 and Skyler from Breaking bad,I can safely say that Jules didnt go to the extent of hating her...

But being the main character who was the ultimate love interest of the protagonist, she never made you feel sad for Shawn that he wasnt getting her just like the way you felt with Sarah Walker in chuck and Robin in HIMYM...

I would rather be happy for Shawn and Gus to become gay partners...

Abigail was so painfully for me because she was so cute and she had this nice chemistry with Shawn....I was sad because I know she will leave soon and she would act like a bitch and break Shawn's heart.....

Even Gus' Indian gf had some depth to her character

I probably don't hate her but she does literally nothing for me so I don't like her at all. Good, humorous, truly strong (not overly-aggressive bitchy), fleshed-out female characters with depth are in extremely short supply on TV. Would have loved to see one on my favorite show

She's sort of like Lisa from The Simpsons.

She's so youthful, bright eyed and cute that she doesn't seem like a detective to me. Are detectives that young?

Maybe I'm just buying into the cliche of the "hardboiled" older, cynical and serious detective.

Jules is so chatty too. I just watched the episode where she asked Chief Vick for ideas about a birthday present for Lassiter. When Vick asks if the two detectives talk about anything while riding together, she replies that Lassiter sometimes requests that they "ride in silence".

At the end of the episode she causes major problems for "Lassie". First she calls his mother for gift ideas and lets it slip that he is separated from his wife. Then she goes through his desk and finds an address book thinking that the people listed are his friends. She invites everyone to his house for a party and it turns out that they're ALL people he has previously arrested!

Juliette is portrayed as a smart and saavy cop, but then she does some really dumb stuff.

Jules is awesome. Prolly much better as the show went along, imo. Her facial reactions to a given are perfect.
