Jeff is slow, incompetent, and responsible for the deaths of too many people. The loss of his son is tragic. That's no excuse for his pathetic response to others suffering. He's as selfish bastard.

shareRegarding his slowness, he became an alcoholic following his son’s death, was drinking before he was kidnapped, and was therefore hungover - which was probably exacerbated by the whatever he was drugged with by Jigsaw, Amanda, or Hoffman.
A lot of people seem to forget that.
