It's been a while since I saw this, but at one point don't they take a freaking helicopter and fly half way across London, only for the dad zombie to turn up at the same time they did?

shareYup. Part of the reason this one doesn't hold up to the original. Just so happens Dad Zombie is an Olympic marathon runner.
sharePrimary frustration of the film for me. Years later, I've been able to appreciate how good this movie actually is (the fact that it's a top tier zombie film is just overshadowed by the fact that 28 Days Later was a work of art), but that's the one element that I think ultimately brings the movie down.
