My new character is a Knight Templar, so i figure he got into a "theological debate" with a couple of Tribunal Temple ordinators and was shipped back to Cyrodill from Morrowind before he had an "accident" in the ministy of truth.
Anybody else come up with a reason for your character being in jail at the start of the game?
I made a female Imperial on my cousin's 360, I don't own the game myself. I made her back when I was still an awkward teenage guy and tried to make her really hot.
She was in prison for calling Skingrad, Stalingrad

my character, snake, is in prison because he's a theif. He got caught stealing over 4000 gold in jewellry after one of his accomplices turned on him and tipped off the guards.

My Dark Elf Mage accidentally pick pocketed an Imperial legion when she tried to talk to him while forgetting she was sneaking.

My Altmer wore a White Mage's Robe after Labor Day.
My High Elf was all powerful. He knew of the imminent threat, he foresaw into the future, knowing that the King would be assassinated, and he wanted to stop that from happening. The only thing he could do to try to stop it from happening was to go back in time and pick a quick fight. He cut the heart out of ten of the cat people and delivered the hearts to their family members. He was soon arrested so that he could try to defend the King and delay the rising of the main bad guy. But, by going back in time, he was weakened. He could not save the King, and at this point he had to slowly regain his abilities so that he could stop the bad guy's attempt at world domination so that he could rise from the ashes as the leader of the world.

Anyway, he was reported having sold various "alchemical reagents" in dingy caves and back alleys across the land, for the purposes of "research".
